American Rights at Work Guild Unit
American Rights at Work is a nonprofit education and advocacy organization promoting workers’ rights. The Washington-Baltimore Newspaper Guild represents more than a dozen employees in research and communications at the organization, which is chaired by former congressman David Bonior. Guild members at ARAW won legal recognition
of the Guild as their union in early 2005 and ratified a first contract that summer.
