AFL-CIO Guild Unit Officers for 2002

The period to make nominations for officers ended last night with no nominations, other than those made at last week's unit meeting.

Therefore, no election will be necessary and your unit officers for 2002 will be:

Unit Chair - Dawn Lamar
Vice Chair-HQ - Susan Dundon
Vice Chair-Field - Joe Holland
Secretary - Deborah Weinstock
Grievance Chair - Lara Wheelock

Congratulations to all.

While we will not need to hold elections for unit officers, in January each department will need to hold elections for stewards. Also - on January 8 and 9 we will hold elections for at-large members of the 2002 Washington-Baltimore Newspaper Guild (WBNG) Executive Council.

Those who work in the field will receive a mail ballot from the Local office. Details on the election for those at headquarters will follow shortly.
