Guild Members Ratify Three-Year Contract at BNA (March 10, 2010) Washington-Baltimore Newspaper Guild members on March 9 ratified the three-year agreement that had been tentatively worked out with management in the early hours of March 1. BNA Guild negotiators had previewed the tentative agreement at a membership meeting on March 5. The final balloting showed a count of 204 Yes votes and 19 No votes. "More than nine in 10 members voted in favor of the new contract," said BNA Unit Chairman Reza Namdar. "This represents a voter turnout of 77 percent of the membership." |
