Grievances Settled & in the Pipeline

Full Service Recognized by BNA - An employee who started out as a temporary worker and then accepted a full-time position was given full service credit to the time the employee started working here as a temp. This helps the employee reach the higher levels of annual leave and other benefits earlier than if the temp service was not counted.

Discipline Grievances Continue - BNA has denied several grievances regarding disciplinary actions taken against employees. This, despite their refusal to show just cause as to the discipline, a violation of the contract.

Unfair Labor Practice - Several months ago, a ULP was filed against BNA for its refusal to bargain over the decision to subcontract work done by the Business Systems Support Unit. The National Labor Relations Board is in the middle of making a decision on this case. (NLRB Case 5-CA-28869-1)
