URGENT!
Donations For Leave Bank Needed

It has been a very difficult year for many BNA employees. Almost twice as many employees as usual have needed — and received — assistance from the BNA Sick Leave Bank. Several have received the maximum allowable benefit from this program.

As a result, the balance of available leave in the Leave Bank has plummeted from a record high at the beginning of the year, to being nearly depleted.

Yet there are still several pending requests for assistance. Some of our fellow employees are facing personal and family emergencies. Their situations will be even worse if the Leave Bank is unable to provide them with paid leave instead of leave without pay.

It has been nearly two years since the Sick Leave Bank has had to send out a request for donations: now we need your help. As we approach the holiday season, many of us are calculating how much of our leave we’ll be using before the end of the year and how much we’ll be carrying over.

Please, consider donating some of your annual leave to the leave bank now, instead of carrying it over to the next year. It does not matter if it is one week of leave, one day of leave, or even an hour; every hour of annual leave helps a fellow employee in need.

To donate, please fill out the form below and send it to a member of the leave bank:

Robert Teachout N-525
Gwen Holmes 4-204T
Tony Baxter N-180B
Vicki Baxter 4-4114B
Shawna Menefee, Subscriber Relations — Key West
Or the Guild office, S-107
