Front Page Awards Honor Members' Work in 2000

Deadline Extended to March 28

This year the Front Page Awards honor Guild members' work published in 2000.

There are a total of 26 categories in the areas of Writing, Photography and Design that you may enter.

Judges will choose from Guild members' winning entries for "Best of Class" grand prizes in Writing, Photography and Design. Each grand prize carries with it a $200 award.

Only Guild members are eligible for the three grand prizes.

Members are limited to three entries in any of the 26 categories, but may enter as many categories as they wish.

A published piece of work may be submitted in one category only. And the judges may, at their discretion, shift an entry into a different category if it seems appropriate.

The category honors and grand prize winners will be selected by panels of eminent professionals in journalism, design and photography.

Any Guild member or employee covered by a Washington-Baltimore Newspaper Guild contract may enter.

Entries are free.

Only one copy of each entry is needed. Include your name, unit, and category on each entry form.

Entries must be mailed or delivered to the WBNG office:

The deadline for submitting entries has been extended to Wednesday, March 28 to accommodate entries in the four new categories.

Check with your shop steward or the Guild office for entry forms and additional details.
