Nominations Now Being Accepted for Local Guild Service Awards

  • Dan deSouza Memorial Award for Member of the Year
  • Nadine Grinder Memorial Award for Shop Steward of the Year
  • Unit Officer of the Year (NEW)
  • Organizer of the Year (NEW)

Right now is a good time to nominate outstanding WBNG members for the two long-standing Guild Service Awards, Member of the Year and Shop Steward of the Year. And two new ones this year, Unit Officer of the Year and Organizer of the Year.

Nominations for the service awards must be in the form of a letter describing the candidate's finer qualities, as well as deeds performed for our local during 2000.

Any Guild member can nominate any other Guild member.

Letters must be received by Wednesday, March 28.

A panel comprised of Washington-Baltimore Newspaper Guild Executive Council members will judge the nominations.

Nominations must be mailed or delivered to the WBNG office:

1100 15th St. NW
Suite 350
Washington, DC 20005
