The Guild will offer new steward training on Saturday, December 7, 2002 in our DC Guild office. Lunch will be provided!!

Geared toward new stewards, this training will include:

Purpose of the Grievance Process
Role of the Steward
Legal Rights of Stewards
Duty of Fair Representation
Management Rights
Weingarten rights
Types of Grievances/Burden of Proof
Past Practices
Investigating the Grievance/Information Requests
Writing the Grievance
Preparing for the Grievance Meeting/The Grievance Meeting
