ANA Unit Ratifies Two-Year Agreement

The 100-member Guild unit (the Association Staff Union) at the American Nurses Association ratified a two-year contract on May 11.

The agreement met the main goals of the members: Keeping present 401(k) contribution levels, and sharing the same amount of increases in health-care premium costs.

The previous contract had run out Feb. 14. "Save Our 401(k)” demonstration were credited with having a positive impact on bargaining, said WBNG Staff Representative Rich Ehrmann.

The agreement was ratified by a vote of 59-0, with two abstentions.
